revisions in shooting plan

Due to a lack of time we didn't use the nature area but did finish filming in one session so now only have to edit the piece and finish the CD cover we have designed using corel.

shooting schedule

We plan to use the school's nature area, as a set in our video. We plan to shoot our piece in no more than two sessions. The location we will use is a garden and the school nature area, with a few shots from a drive way.
We have permission to use the schools nature area if we do wish to use it.
We first shot on Wednesday 24th June

Risk Assessment

The video we are planning to shoot has few risks.
People may trip on the wires we are using. this will be avoided by using only a few wires that will not be stretched out where people are walking.
falling in the pond is another risk. This will be avoided by not shooting near the pond.
allergies / allergic reactions to plants in the garden. This is another risk that can be avoided by not shooting near the plants.

OneInThree - VV Brown 'Leave'

The video starts with a woman standing alone in an empty flat in which everything is covered up. The woman is staring at a small box in the middle of the floor that has a random assortment of things falling out of it. The camera cuts between the woman standing singing the song and the box on the floor whichthe camera begins to pan around. Certain important lines of the song appear on the side of the box as the camera pans around it. The box is then filled with images of things such as vases being wrapped up for the person to 'leave'. The person singing the song is not the one leaving they aretrying to convince someone else to leavetheir boyfriend. The box continues to rotate in the shot and shows a blue room with a person packing in it. These type of shots continue throughout the song with the singers head appearing on one side of the box. The video tells the story of someones breakup through the abstract imagery of the box. As the song speeds up the images in the box change quicklyto the beat of the music. The shot then cuts to the singer walking through a room full of shiny objects. The camera then cuts back to the flat that the video began in. A removal man walks into the shot, picks up the box from the floor and walks out of shot with it. There is no sign of the woman in the video.

Remi Weekes L'artiste

The video has lyrics that are french with english subtitles. the content of the lyrics is very abstract. These abstract ideas are presented visually by the video throughout, as the lyrics mention chocolate the man in the video is shown covered chocolate with a chocolate wrapper on the fan behind him. The shot then cuts to an image of the man seen before walking along with an umbrella seemingly normal. The camera then cuts to an image of a clown running through a field ripping off his wig. the clown is made more surreal as his makeup shows him crying. The shot then cuts to a normal shot of the man being wok]en up hunched over a picture of the crying clown.

Snow Patrol- chasing cars video

The Video begins with a man sitting alone on a group of flat rocks. As the vocals of the song begin there is a close up shot of the man in the video showing lip syncing from the man in shot. As he sing if i lay here the man in the shot also lies down looking up at the sky and continuing to lip sync with the lyrics. As the song progresses there are shots of clouds gathering above adding to an impression of his isolation. There are constant close and medium shots of the man that do not reveal much about his location. As the song continues the conditions that the man is lieing in get progressively worse with each chorus of the song. as the beat increases in tempo the man rolls sideways into a puddle that has formed from the rain, however the man is shown to have been submerged in a huge lake/river. The camera then cuts to a shot of the person now standing on the rocks which implies some sort of redemption from the submerging. He is now dry and as the songs slows toward the end as the lyrics say forget the world the camera zooms out on an unearthly looking landscape that he is standing in , however the shadows of birds crossing the landscape shows it is.
